Old board failing? Keep your legacy equipment running.
Repair and renewal of aging circuit boards, replacement of obsolete components, and replacement boards for discontinued equipment. Send a few photos and an engineer in Shenzhen tells you what can be done, with new PCB and PCBA built at vetted partner factories in China.
- Legacy & obsolete board repair
- Obsolete part replacement
- One engineer, one contact
Keep old equipment running when its boards are aging or discontinued.
The machine still does its job, but a board is failing, the original supplier has gone, or a key part is no longer made. I look at the board, tell you honestly what can be done, and coordinate the repair, the replacement parts or new boards with partner factories in Shenzhen.
- Repair & refurbishment. Rework, re-soldering and replacement of failed or worn parts on aging boards.
- Obsolete component replacement. Parts identified from their markings; alternatives proposed for your approval.
- Replacement boards. New boards for discontinued equipment, built from the drawings or files you have, from a few spares to repeat production.
- Honest assessment first. If a board can't be repaired sensibly, I'll say so before you spend money.
- Industrial, test or lab equipment still in service with aging boards
- The original board supplier closed or stopped supporting the product
- A key component on the board is obsolete or hard to find
- You need a few spare boards to keep a machine running
- An old design you want to move to a new manufacturer
Real work from my bench
Boards and shipments from my own order records and phone photos. Customer names, logos, model numbers and barcodes have been cropped or blurred out.

How to send us your board
No drawings or files? That's fine. Most legacy-board jobs start with a few photos.
Take clear photos
Both sides of the board, shot straight on in good light, with a ruler beside it. Add close-ups of chip markings, connectors, any damage and any labels or part numbers. Phone photos are fine to start.
E-mail them to me
Say which equipment the board comes from, what is wrong with it (if you know), how many you need and your deadline. Attach any old drawings, Gerber or BOM you still have.
Get a free review & quote
I reply with what I think can be done, any questions, and a quote. Photos are enough for a first assessment.
Ship the board (if needed)
If the work needs the physical board, I send the shipping address with the quote. Pack it in an anti-static bag with padding.
Approve, then work starts
Nothing is done until you approve the plan and the price. Any replacement part is listed for your approval first.
From aging boards to new assembled PCBA
Use one service or combine them. Everything is coordinated as one job with one point of contact.
Legacy PCB repair & renewal
Repair and refurbishment of aging boards from equipment that is still in service: rework, re-soldering and replacement of failed parts.
Obsolete component replacement
Parts that are no longer made are identified from their markings; suitable alternatives are proposed for your approval, never swapped silently.
PCB fabrication
Single-sided, double-sided and multilayer rigid boards, built at partner factories matched to your stack-up, quantity and finish.
PCB assembly (PCBA)
SMT and through-hole assembly, turnkey (we source parts) or consigned (you supply parts). Bare board and assembly coordinated as one job.
PCB layout & design revision
Layout from your schematic or netlist, and revisions to existing designs: re-spins, footprint fixes, DFM-driven changes in Altium.
DFM / Gerber review & sourcing
Every order is checked before production, and the BOM is checked line by line. Part alternatives are proposed for approval, never swapped silently.
Built on established production lines
Typical numbers from the partner factory lines I work with. Your job's exact limits are confirmed during the free review.
3/3 mil
Fine line width/spacing with automatic LDI imaging
8 layers
Multilayer production demonstrated, e.g. 4 mil traces, 0.25 mm min. hole
4–8 days
Typical lead time, double-sided boards (multilayer 6–12 days)
100% AOI
Plus flying-probe / automated electrical test and final QC
A PCB engineer in Shenzhen, since 2013
I'm Li (Ye Huanli), a PCB engineer with more than 10 years of hands-on work in PCB layout, fabrication and assembly processes. My company, Shenzhen Yipin Zhuoyan Electronics Co., Ltd., has been based in Shajing, Shenzhen since 2013 and works with a group of vetted PCB and assembly factories in China.
"You deal with one English-speaking engineer who looks at your board and your files, instead of a factory sales team."
Old board failing, or can't buy it any more?
Send clear photos of both sides, or your Gerber and BOM. I'll reply by e-mail with what can be done and a free quote.
